Pet litter fillers application
Well known that cats are meticulous and very tidy animals. At the same time, rodents also love cleanliness, so choosing the best filler will not only determine the frequency of cleaning and the effectiveness of moisture and odor absorption – but it will also be an essential step in ensuring the comfort of a small pet in its house.
PelleGREEN straw pet litter filler is an excellent universal substrate for cat toilets and cages of rodents (such as rabbits, chinchillas, guinea pigs, hamsters, ferrets, degus, and others). The filler usage will help avoid unpleasant odors and pollution in the cat litter box and the rodent cage. Straw pellets have numerous advantages, making them the most environmentally friendly, safe, and versatile choice of all cat and rodent feeders.
Thanks to the natural straw base, this filler effectively absorbs and reliably retains unpleasant odors, including the smell of ammonia. In addition, straw pellets absorb moisture quickly and efficiently: about 400% of their weight. It allows the rational use of the pet litter filler and ensures freshness in the cat toilet or the rodent house.
Recommendations for use for a cat toilet:
- Fill the clean and dry litter box with a 2 to 5-cm layer of the filler, evenly distributing it over the entire area. Now the pet toilet is ready for use. Great for sifting litter boxes.
- Remove the contaminated part of the litter filler regularly. Make the total replacement of litter filler at least once every 5-7 days or more often if needed. Always refill to 2-5 cm.
- The used litter filler can be flushed down the toilet in small portions (check with local authorities first) or used as a complex mineral fertilizer for garden plants.
Recommendations for use for rodent cages:
- Fill the clean and dry cage tray with a 1 to 2-cm layer of the litter filler, evenly distributing it over the entire area. When using a tray with a grid, a 1 cm layer of the litter filler under the grid is enough.
- Once every 1-3 days, remove the used filler (use a spatula for hard excrement) and add fresh ones.
- Make the total replacement of litter filler at least once every 10-15 days or more often if needed.
- The used litter filler can be flushed down the toilet in small portions (check with local authorities first) or used as a complex mineral fertilizer for garden plants.
